Meet the Board

Miriam Martinez
President

Originally from Boyle Heights, I ventured to Sacramento 2 years after high school to pursue my independence and educational goals. During my tenure at community college, I attained associate degrees in Psychology and Foreign Language, which laid a solid foundation for my academic journey at the University of California, Irvine. I am currently a fourth-year student majoring in Psychological Science at the University of California, Irvine. For the past two years, I have immersed myself in the chamber of commerce realm, dedicating my time to volunteering with the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and actively participating in the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce CAPS program. Serving as the Director of Marketing for the 2023-2024 youth board has been a highlight, allowing me to cultivate invaluable skills in leadership and community engagement. In my downtime, I find solace in activities such as running and enjoying the serene beauty of the beach.
